Laura Paul is a writer and artist who has been published in The Brooklyn Rail, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Comics Journal, minor literature[s], Tarpaulin Sky Magazine, and other outlets. She holds an M.A. in Media Studies from UCLA and a B.A. in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington. Alissa Hattman is author of the novel Sift, which engages with themes of ecological grief and climate repair. Her writing has appeared in The Rumpus, Carve, The Gravity of the Thing, Propeller, Big Other, Shirley Magazine, MAYDAY, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Pacific University and an MA in English Literature from Portland State University. She has worked as a fiction editor, book reviewer, zine librarian, writing group facilitator, and teacher. Originally from North Dakota, she now lives and teaches in the Pacific Northwest.
